I love this unruly crew of mine! A few weeks ago we packed the kids up, and looked for adventures further north. We started out driving through Idaho and of course, as per tradition, stopped at the temple and went through the visitor's center on our way there.
After a short day in Idaho, we got back on the road with our furry bunch and headed to Montana.
Montana was beautiful and green! We loved the park where we camped and even got to FaceTime with Mema and Aunt Veva and the Cox family in Hawaii.
After a week (taking our time), we finally made it to the state of Washington.
I'm always amazed at the kids and how well they travel in the car. I think it's because they've only known long trips since they were babies. A usual day of driving is anywhere from 6-8 hours and there are only a few times we have to encourage them to stop fighting. Mostly we have to urge them to be quiet because there is so much laughing and giggling and just general silliness.
We got to help with the baby ducks, played with friends we haven't seen in about a year and learned so much in our classes.
Once again, this guy kept us on our toes and yes, once again that IS permanent marker on his arm- complete with my name and number in case he ever wanders off (which he does A LOT).
The boys were lucky enough in the tweens group to learn from some of the best atlatl athletes in the area. They loved spending time at the weapons range and they even made their own atlatl and darts.
Ava chose to stay in Kids Kamp this year, often helping out with the younger kids.
This guy just got dirty and ran around like the feral child he is!
Dirty Feet = Epic Adventures!
Another year has come and gone. We'll be sad to say goodbye.
Goodbye until next year, BtR!
