Yes folks, it's a historic event for us and our family. This last weekend we packed our little crew up, placed them in the truck and drove 5 hours to Lehi to see family. The kids did great! On the way up they were all smiles and grins.

Once we arrived in Lehi, we immediately went swimming. Welcome cousin Fletcher to all of the chaos that is our family. Some day you'll appreciate it all.

"The Twins". It's going to be confusing if we keep calling Laynie and Kurt (cousins) the twins. It was so fun for me to watch them interact together. I just kept thinking that I was looking into a crystal ball and looking at Ava and Vance, fast forward one year.

We had a great time swimming with the Morris crew! Lovely Miss Blake got baptized on Saturday and she sure has turned into a lovely young lady.

Cousins Katie and Mike (and they're little dog Rambo too) came down from Canada. More on that later. Just suffice to say if you've ever seen the show
Sister Wives you have just a small insight into mine and Katie's relationship. She's like an extension of myself sometimes.

Kurt loves, loves, loves to swim. Usually when Chase takes him swimming, he goes under and swims around on his shoulders, his back or in his arms. Katie and Mike picked up some water wings for him and he couldn't be happier! I'm sure Chase is too. Now he paddles and kicks all over the place, even jumping off the side now and again. Such a brave boy!

We had a lot of fun in the hotel rooms...

Some of us had a little too much fun...

Kurt even got to try his first doughnut (one that he didn't steal out of the garbage any way). He and Chase visited Krispy Kreams and purchased some (non-glazed) fresh out of the oven before they added any sugar to it. Yum!
The next day after Blake's baptism we all met at the park for good food, family, and fun. Thanks Morris family for hosting such a great event! Looking forward to the next one.

For the most part, the kids did pretty good on the return trip home. They were happy and took little naps.

We promised Kurt that we'd go swimming once we got home. He was pretty happy about that!

...that is until we got out at Beaver and he realized we still had 3 more hours to go. Then we got this face.

Don't worry though, as soon as we got back in the truck he was playing games with Dad and having a good time. And yes, he did get to go to "Da Poo" (translation: the pool) and was his same old happy little self again.
Phew!
