Family History Search Center

One of the MANY things I love about homeschool has to be our field trips.  And not just because we get to go when everyone else is in school (though that's definitely a perk!).  This year our field trips are extra special because my mom finally retired and when she comes she makes them that much better!

Before we left for Rabbitstick, we had just wrapped up our Family History unit, as well as our Community Helpers Preschool unit.  When we asked Mema if she'd like to join us for 2 short field trips, she graciously volunteered to tag along.

I was so glad she was there!  She is a master at family history and was like our own personal tour guide during our morning there.

We had fun choosing some of our heritage photos and Ava loved choosing all of the girls with the pretty dresses.  

We loved researching our ancenstors and found that not only are we related to Joseph and Emma Smith but also to The Wright Brothers, Thomas Edison and even Walt Disney! 

One of the kids' favorite parts was the green screen photo wall.  They could've spent all day there choosing different backgrounds to try.  Dad and Mema were good sports and had fun with them too. 

I love my family and I'm so blessed to get to be with them and those who have gone before us for eternity!
