This guy was so excited to turn 4. Mainly because right before his birthday, he saw all of the signs and merchandise for the new movie, Toy Story 4 coming out and he was convinced that all of those 4s were just for him for turning 4!
As per tradtion, we stepped outside to take pictures by our front door. I couldn't help but remember his first birthday photos outside this very door and I dare say it took me by surprise.
How did 4 years pass so quickly?
He loved every part of his birthday table. Everyone who came to the door, he had to walk over and show them. From the jello aliens, the kids made to the Toy Story 4 cake, to the character cheese wheels.
Opening presents is always a treat and he kept asking, "For me? This is for me? Becuase it's my birthday?" Poor guy. He's the youngest so he often doesn't get something brand new just for him.
He has been asking for "mote control" toys for a while now. Once he opened this little RC car, that was it for him. We had to remind him there were a few more gifts to open before he could start driving it.
As you can tell, he loved every gift he received.
After cake and ice cream and gifts, we took the crew to see the new Toy Story 4 movie in theaters, apparently along with the rest of the town of St. George. We barely got enough seats but enjoyed ourselves immensely. I, of course, cried at the end. I've always had such a hard time with change and saying goodbye (who me!?)
