Welcome to one of my most favorite weeks of the year! Last year we started a fun tradition during Easter week, focusing more on the Savior and less on candy and a big bunny. We knew we wanted the kids to look forward to Easter, but without eating the candy and all that goes along with the commercial activities of the holiday. Last year as a family we studied the last week of Jesus' life and I knew then just what I wanted to do when they were in school this time.
We first designed a timeline out in the hall and each day we added the day, a picture and a little symbol to help us remember what was significant about that day. It was great to share what we learned with the kids and I can see this getting more and more in-depth each year as we look forward to "Holy Week".

Palm Sunday (on Monday)
Monday and Tuesday (Jesus clears the temple and then teaches in the temple to all who want to hear).
Wednesday (The parable of the wise and foolish man)
Thursday (The Last Supper, Gethsemane)
Friday, Saturday, Sunday (Crucifixion, Spirit World, Resurrection)
