Ancestor Reports

What would our field trip to the graveyard be without a school project to follow it up with!?

Hence the birth of our Ancestor Reports....

Kurt chose to do his ancestor report on Grandpa Kurt.  He thought of a bunch of questions he wanted to ask him about when he was a kid and growing up and we sent him a text. Kurt loved that he got to ask him through the speech to text feature, though autocorrect had a difficult time figuring out 6 year old speech! Poor Siri.  She has a tough job.  

Reading Grandpa's responses was so much fun!  Did you know that he worked at Disneyland for a while?  Next time you're visiting the French Market at New Orlean's square, get a Mint Julep and think of him! 

Vance loved doing his ancestor report on "The Cowboy" (see the cowboy boots?!) Robert (Ted) Buvestus Rodney. I hope he never gets tired of hearing stories of this most amazing man! 

Ava chose to do hers on Grandma Dess.  I love that she made her cute little black and white shirt (because her face was black and white), and that her red pants match her body.  Such a fashionista! 

And Grant...well he just wanted to reek havoc on our classroom.
